Graphic Design

Website Graphic DesignFor a growing number of customers, your website will be their first introduction to your company. As the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a first impression. If you make a strong first impression, your customers are likely to have a positive reaction to your products and services and will in turn be more apt to spend their money.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “content is king” in reference to web development services. While we agree that web marketing needs to have substance, the first thing a visitor notices about a site is the graphics — specifically the photos, colours and graphic design.

The success of any site is largely dependent on the look and style of the home page. An appealing home page will draw visitors deeper in the site. Most first-time visitors make the decision to further explore a site within 10 to 15 seconds after landing on a home page, long before they’ve had the chance to read any of your site’s written content.

Great graphic design can be broken down into four essential elements:
  1. Brand Identity
The term “Brand identity” encompasses your logo and branding style as well as the colours, fonts and amount of whitespace you use to identify your company. Think of it as a visual representation of your company’s philosophy and vision. Properly designed visuals make your content look authoritative and professional to your visitors. A well-designed logo is one of the most identifiable characteristics of any e-business.
  2. Images
If visitors are attracted to a specific image on your website, they will want to learn more. A perfect image captures visitors’ attention and compels them to read the accompanying content. A striking image can dramatically improve a reader’s ability to retain the information associated with the image and, in turn, purchase products and services related to that content.
  3. Drawing Attention to What’s Important
Much like children’s textbooks that are colour-coded and full of visual aids to drive specific points home, the best web pages highlight the most important information that your business needs to pass on to potential customers.
  4. User-Friendliness
Good design increases your site’s usability rather than confusing visitors and sending them away. Encourage your visitors to explore and engage in your site by implementing simply designed navigation, content-appropriate graphics, and colours and text styles that are pleasing to the eye.

All of the designs we provide to our clients are unique, strong, stylish, fresh, clear and 100 percent user-friendly.
